Meet the New NYC Smoke-Free at Public Health Solutions!

Public Health Solutions’ tobacco control initiative has a new name — NYC Smoke-Free. The program, formerly known as the NYC Coalition for a Smoke-Free City, also has new leadership; Patrick Kwan joined as Director in late 2014 and brings an advocacy background to his work with NYC Smoke-Free. Under his direction, the program will continue to fight for every New Yorker’s right to breathe clean, smoke-free air where they live, work, and play, while introducing new outreach and advocacy initiatives. Over the next year, NYC Smoke-Free plans to implement a "Reality Check" initiative for youth, continue working to stop the proliferation of tobacco retailers near schools, and increase the availability of smoke-free multi-unit housing through the adoption of voluntary smoke-free policies.

In the next months, NYC Smoke-Free at Public Health Solutions will undergo a rebranding effort as well as revamps of our website, newsletters, and materials.
